Laverda 100cc Corse [MotoGiro D’ Italia]
Quite possibly the smallest capacity machine ever through the workshops! It is featured here because it showcases some of the extra work we carry out in addition to paintwork . This is a very special lightweight race machine being prepared for entry into the 2009 MotoGiro D’Italia and Priest have been very closely involved with the project. The bike is an exact replica of the 1956 works MotoGiro entry and represents a state of the art long distance road racer specially prepared for 1950s-style Italian open roads racing.
The machines featured many modifications and our involvement included altering and panel beating the original damaged and corroded mudguards , repairing a badly cracked frame and relocating the main tank and seat mounting lug. The bike also required some new torque arm retaining lugs welding very precisely onto the front and rear forks to facilitate the fitment of larger works type brakes. We are very happy to extend the scope of our work beyond paintwork, so if you have some general restoration work you would like a quote for we would be pleased to be given the opportunity to talk to you.
